CECILIA is at the head of a family-run leather, tanning and trading company, now in its 5th generation, which can look back on over 100 years of experience. Designed in New York together with honorary photographers and made of the finest materials worldwide, each camera strap is a unique piece of high quality.

For the shoulder strap offered here, only the best "full grain" leather from Argentinean cattle was used. "Full grain leather is a high quality smooth leather from the upper layers of the cowhide and is much denser and more tear-resistant than the layers below. It shows the natural grain or skin irregularities of the animal in its full naturalness and also shows a higher suppleness, in contrast to a normal embossed leather, which usually has to be sanded before dyeing and then smoothed again with a thicker layer of dye. But that's not all: The entire camera strap is pulled through by an extremely tear-resistant nylon fabric "Made in USA", which was tested for a tensile weight of 113Kg. As a direct connection to your camera, a hardened and corrosion protected steel ring with leather overlay is used.
