The camera shoulder strap is made of rope model BOA (BOA = Beyond any Ordinary Adventure) by the young designer Monarch VII, exclusively handmade in a complex knotting and macramé technique from original USA Type III 550 Paracord and vegetable tanned leather.

Paracord, also known as Parachute Cord or 550 cord, is a thin nylon core-sheathed rope that was used in its original form in American parachutes during World War II. Today, Paracord is an all-purpose rope used by the armed forces as well as in survival and bushcrafting. USA Type III 550 cord usually consists of 7 to 9 core yarns, sheathed by up to 36 single yarns and an extremely high breaking load of 249Kg!

In the BOA camera shoulder strap made of Paracord, a single, but many metres long piece of Paracord is knotted by hand in a production process lasting just under 4 hours to form a camera shoulder strap core and camera shoulder strap cover, connected to each other and covered at the ends with the best vegetable tanned leather.
The result is not just any camera shoulder strap from Paracord, but the original BOA camera riser made of rope, handmade from the material used on the Space Shuttle mission STS-82 to repair parts of the insulation of the Hubble Space Telescope.
