The brand Sailor Strap stands for a small manufactory in Warsaw, which has been producing camera straps for system cameras in a traditional way for several years, made of synthetic silk and Italian premium leather, a symbiosis between sailing and photography. Only the best materials are processed by hand, whereby the idea of sustainability also has a formative influence on the camera strap made of leather and rope. As an example we would like to mention the vegetable tanned leather, originally made from the waste of Italian luxury handbags. The rope itself, on the other hand, is made of so-called polyester silk, a yarn consisting of very fine polyester threads, which are elaborately interwoven to form a rope. The rope made of polyester silk can compete with its natural model in terms of suppleness and noble shine, and in terms of function it can even hold its own. Although it offers a similarly high wearing comfort as silk, it is also tear-resistant, quick-drying, light-fast and dimensionally stable. Finally connected to the Italian leather by a robust saddle yarn, each camera strap for system cameras is absolutely unique. The camera strap model "Tape Commander" by Sailor Strap is characterized by a rope thickness of 12mm, as well as ends made of robust nylon braiding, which are specially designed for the attachment to cameras with flat camera strap eyes. At the same time it is one of the thickest available camera straps for system cameras in the Sailor Strap range.
