The Monarch VII BOA (BOA = Beyond any Ordinary Adventure) nylon camera strap is made exclusively by hand in a complex knotting and macramé technique from original USA Type III 550 Paracord and vegetable tanned leather. Paracord, also known as Parachute Cord or 550 cord, is a thin nylon core-sheathed rope that was used in its original form in American parachutes during World War II. Today, Paracord is an all-purpose rope used by the armed forces as well as in survival and bushcrafting. USA Type III 550 cord usually consists of 7 to 9 core threads, sheathed by up to 36 single threads and an extremely high breaking load of 249Kg!

In the BOA camera carrying strap made of Paracord rope, a single, but many meters long piece of Paracord is manually knotted in a production process lasting almost 4 hours to form a camera strap core and camera strap sheath, connected to each other and sheathed at the ends with the best vegetable tanned leather.
The result is not just any nylon camera strap, but the original BOA camera carrying strap made of Paracord rope, handmade from the material that was used on the Space Shuttle mission STS-82 to repair parts of the insulation of the Hubble Space Telescope.
