The camera strap model BOA (BOA = Beyond any Ordinary Adventure) of the young design company Monarch VII, is exclusively handmade in an elaborate knotting or macramé technique from original USA Type III 550 Paracord and vegetable tanned leather.

Paracord, also called Parachute Cord or 550 cord, is a thin nylon core shroud rope, which was used in its original form in American parachutes during World War II. Today, Paracord is an all-purpose rope used by the armed forces as well as in survival and bushcrafting. USA Type III 550 cord usually consists of 7 to 9 core yarns, sheathed by up to 36 individual yarns and an extremely high breaking load of 249Kg!

In the BOA camera shoulder strap made of Paracord, a single, but many meters long piece of Paracord is knotted by hand in a production process lasting almost 4 hours to form a camera strap core and camera shoulder strap sheath, connected to each other and sheathed at the ends with the best vegetable tanned leather.
The result is not just any camera strap made of rope and leather, but the original BOA camera shoulder strap made of Paracord, handmade from the material that was used on the Space Shuttle mission STS-82 to repair parts of the insulation of the Hubble Space Telescope.
