Narrow lenses for professional macro photography
Narrow lenses, also called macro lenses, allow photos to be taken on a larger scale. Although photos can also be enlarged afterwards, the resolution is reduced. Therefore, above a certain scale, no new details will be revealed during enlargement. Only a suitable close-up lens can help here.
Expand the photography range with close-up lenses
Macro photos can be taken with special macro lenses, but also with standard equipment and macro accessories such as close-up lenses or macro attachment lenses. A close-up lens is screwed into the filter thread of the front lens ring. It must therefore have the appropriate diameter for the lens. The macro lens acts like a pair of glasses for the camera lens and its strength is also indicated in diopters.
