Description
This one by J.B. Camera Designs, Oklahoma USA, made of wood consists of two types of precious wood, which not only make the heart of every camera fan beat faster due to their different natural coloring, but also due to the contraire alignment of the wood growth direction and the careful connection of both hardwoods , give the handle for the Leica D-Lux 7 maximum break resistance. Sturdy American walnut wood in a warm brown tone is closest to the bottom of your Leica camera. The high-priced precious wood Padauk was subsequently chosen. Padouk is a very hard, dense and elastic precious wood, which is used for high-quality inlaid work in furniture and musical instrument construction, or even this handle for the Leica D-Lux 7. Padauk is also called coral wood because of its beautiful orange-red to brown-red color. However, the handmade wooden camera handle is not only extremely stable, but was also manufactured in the new 3-point support design developed by JB Camera Designs, which allows for extremely modern lines that are optimally adapted to the proportions of the respective camera model without being overly bulky. The handle for the Leica D-Lux 7 gets its surface finish from a special oil, which is also used for precious wood handles of high-quality knives. This emphasizes the natural grain of the wood to the maximum, protects against environmental influences and, if the wooden camera handle is used frequently, gives the wood a unique patina.
The CNC milled vertical holding post connected to the hardwood base plate has been elaborately matt anodized and additionally grooved to offer maximum grip when taking pictures. But this wooden camera handle is not only a beautiful, protective and individualizing photo accessory, but also stabilizes the entire arm thanks to the enlarged contact surface of the hand, thus ensuring relaxed photography.
The result is immediately visible: the Leica camera is held much more still overall and there are significantly fewer blurred photos.
