The brand Sailor Strap stands for a small manufactory in Warsaw, which has been producing camera shoulder straps made of polyester silk and leather in a traditional way for several years, a symbiosis between sailing and photography. Only the best materials are processed by hand, whereby the idea of sustainability also has a formative influence on the rope camera strap for e.g. Leica cameras. As an example we would like to mention the vegetable tanned leather, originally made from a blend of Italian luxury handbags. The rope itself, on the other hand, is made of so-called polyester silk, a yarn consisting of very fine polyester threads that are intricately woven into a rope. The rope made of polyester silk can compete with its natural model in terms of suppleness and noble shine, and in terms of function it can even hold its own. Although it offers a similarly high wearing comfort as silk, it is also tear-resistant, quick-drying, light-fast and dimensionally stable. Finally, it is firmly attached to the Italian leather with robust saddle yarn, making each camera shoulder strap made of polyester silk and leather absolutely unique. The rope camera strap model "Tape Commander" from Sailor Strap is characterized by a rope thickness of 12mm and ends made of robust nylon braiding, which are specially designed for attaching to cameras with flat camera strap eyelets. At the same time it is one of the thickest available camera shoulder straps made of polyester silk and leather of the Sailor Strap assortment.
