The 2018 German Design Award winning design label "Sailor Strap" stands for a small Warsaw-based manufacturer that has been producing camera straps made of braided rope and Italian premium leather in the traditional way for several years.

Besides the vegetable tanned Italian premium leather, only the best materials for Sailor Strap products are processed by hand, like the main component of every Sailor Strap hand strap or Sailor Strap camera strap: the braided rope.

The high quality rope consists of so-called polyester silk, a yarn made of very fine polyester threads, which is elaborately braided into a rope. The rope made of polyester silk can compete with its natural model in terms of suppleness and noble shine, and in terms of function it can even hold its own. Although it offers a similarly high wearing comfort as silk, it is also tear-resistant, quick-drying, light-fast and retains its shape. Finally, each Sailor Strap camera strap made of braided rope is firmly attached to the Italian leather via robust saddle yarn and equipped with hardened, corrosion-resistant split rings, making it absolutely unique, a symbiosis between sailing and photography.

Sailor Strap camera straps and hand loops are available in different rope thicknesses, lengths and colours, with or without scratch protection. True to the motto "Every camera has its Sailor Strap".
