The small design company J.B. Camera Designs in Oklahoma USA manufactures this grip for cameras according to individual templates by hand from sustainable raw materials with great attention to detail.
The wish of the factory owner and passionate photographer J.B. Moore, being able to call his own a camera handle with an ergonomic holding function for his then Fujifilm X100, as well as his love for the raw material wood and its artistic processing, culminated in the founding of his manufactory for handmade photo accessories in 2011, which has since become an insider tip for enthusiastic professionals - and amateur photographers has developed.
The handle for cameras, handcrafted from solid Peruvian walnut wood, is not only extremely stable and light, but has also been individually adapted by hand to the proportions of the respective camera model. The hardwood gets its surface finish from a special oil, which is also used for precious wood handles of high-quality knives. This emphasizes the natural grain of the wood to the maximum, protects against environmental influences and ensures a unique patina of the wood when the camera handle is used frequently.
The CNC milled vertical holding "peg" connected to the hardwood base plate has been extensively matt anodised and additionally grooved to offer maximum grip when taking pictures with the camera grip. But this camera handle is not only a beautiful, protective and individualizing photo accessory, but also stabilizes the entire arm due to the enlarged contact surface of the hand and thus ensures more relaxed photography.
The result is immediately visible: the camera is held much more steadily overall and there are significantly fewer blurred photos.
