The wish of the factory owner and passionate photographer J.B. Moore, being able to call his own a camera handle for Fujifilm with an ergonomic holding function for his then Fuji X100, as well as his love for the raw material wood and its artistic processing, culminated in the founding of his manufactory for handmade camera accessories in 2011, which has since become an insider tip for enthusiastic professional and amateur photographers.
The JB Camera Designs camera grip, handcrafted from African padauk or coral wood, is not only extremely stable and light, but has also been individually adapted by hand to the proportions of the respective camera model.
African padauk is a very hard, dense and elastic precious wood, which is used for high-quality inlays in furniture and musical instrument construction. Padauk is also called "coral wood" because of its beautiful orange-red to brown-red color.
The camera handle for Fujifilm hardwood gets its surface finish from a special oil, which is also used for precious wood handles of high-quality knives. This emphasizes the natural grain of the Padauk wood to the maximum, protects against environmental influences and ensures a unique patina of the camera grip for Fujifilm wood when used frequently.
