Puristic survival design meets urban urban jungle, made to hunt for the best pictures, to carry your camera always ready to hand and safely with you, that is the Monarch VII BOA shoulder strap for cameras made of braided leather. The leather and paracord camera strap model BOA (BOA = Beyond any Ordinary Adventure) from the young design company Monarch VII is made exclusively by hand using a complex knotting or macramé technique and is made from vegetable-tanned and waxed full-grain leather, as well as the original USA type III 550 paracord made.
Paracord, also called parachute cord (parachute line) or 550 cord, is a thin nylon kernmantle rope, which was used in its original form in American parachutes during World War II. Today paracord is used by the armed forces as an all-purpose rope, as well as in the survival and bushcraft area. USA Type III 550 cord usually consists of 7 to 9 core threads, covered by up to 36 individual threads and has an extremely high breaking load of 249 kg!
With the BOA shoulder strap for cameras made of braided leather, a single long piece of leather strap is knotted by hand into a shoulder strap jacket and a similar long piece of paracord into a carrying strap core, connected to each other and the ends are again treated with the best vegetable in a manufacturing process that lasts almost 4 hours covered in tanned leather.
The result is not just any braided leather camera shoulder strap, but the original BOA camera strap made of leather and paracord, handcrafted, and with a core of the material used on Space Shuttle mission STS-82 to provide parts of the insulation to repair the Hubble Space Telescope.
