Commodore - Combat
The brand Sailor Strap represents a small workshop in Warsaw, which for several years has been traditionally crafting a handmade camera strap from rope and Italian premium leather, a symbiosis between sailing and photography. Only the finest materials are processed by hand, with the idea of sustainability also having a significant influence on the rope camera strap. An example of this is the vegetable-tanned leather, originally made from the offcuts of Italian premium handbags. The camera strap rope itself, on the other hand, consists of so-called polyester silk, a yarn made from very fine polyester threads, intricately braided into a rope. The polyester silk rope can easily compete with its natural counterpart in terms of suppleness and elegant shine, and even surpass it in functionality. Although it offers a similarly high wearing comfort as silk, it is additionally tear-resistant, quick-drying, colorfast, and shape-retaining. Finally, securely connected to the Italian leather with robust saddler’s thread and equipped with hardened corrosion-resistant split rings, each rope camera strap is an absolute unique piece.
The camera strap model "Commodore" from Sailor Strap is characterized by a proud rope thickness of 12mm and a length of 120cm and is at the same time the thickest available rope camera strap in the Sailor Strap range.
