The hand strap offered here is made from exquisite Peruvian baby alpaca wool, which, after shearing, is spun into a hypoallergenic fiber that absorbs hardly any moisture and has an extremely high tensile strength. This natural fiber is then handwoven according to centuries-old tradition on horizontal hip belt looms, a very old form of backstrap weaving device, and combined with the finest, surface-finished "full grain" smooth leather from Argentine cattle. But that’s not all: as a direct connection to your camera, a hardened and nickel-plated steel ring protected against corrosion with a leather pad is used. Additionally, attached to the hand strap with a nylon reinforcement tested to 110 kg tensile strength, this is probably one of the most durable connections a leather hand strap can have with a camera.
