CECILIA stands at the forefront of a family-run leather, tanning, and trading manufactory now in its 5th generation, with over 100 years of experience. Designed together with esteemed photographers, created in New York, and made from the finest materials worldwide, each camera strap is a high-quality unique piece.
For the shoulder strap offered here, only the best surface-finished "full grain" leather from Argentine cattle was used. "Full Grain" leather is a high-quality smooth leather from the top layers of the cattle hide and is significantly denser and more tear-resistant than the underlying layers. It reveals the natural grain and skin irregularities of the animal in their full natural state and also has greater suppleness compared to normally embossed leather, which is usually sanded before dyeing and then smoothed again with a thicker layer of color. But that's not all: the entire camera strap is reinforced with an extremely tear-resistant nylon fabric "Made in USA," which has been tested to withstand a tensile strength of almost 80 kg. A hardened and corrosion-protected steel ring with a leather pad is used as the direct connection to your camera.
