Rock n Roll Camera Straps and Bags was founded by Evris Papanikolas. The manufacturer originates from Cairo, where Papanikolas received his first Leica M2. With reference to the family leather craft tradition, Rock n Roll continues to develop camera straps that are made by experienced craftsmen in Greece from Italian leather.
The Braided Lash is a camera strap that makes tradition and craftsmanship visible. Six strands of Italian Napa calf leather are carefully folded and woven into a distinctive round braid. This process not only gives the strap its unique appearance but also a high flexibility that comfortably rests on the shoulder or neck. The braiding also provides a natural grip, so the strap lies securely in the hand while being soft enough to offer comfort even during extended wear.
The black leather looks classic and understated, while the hand-stitched finish with waxed saddler’s thread emphasizes durability. The strap is attached with 16mm hardened steel rings, complemented by two leather protectors to prevent scratches on the camera. The combination of material quality, craftsmanship, and handwork results in a camera strap that combines functionality with an elegant appearance.
