Skinny Jimmy Hand - Red
The brand Sailor Strap represents a small workshop in Warsaw, which for several years has been traditionally crafting a handmade camera wrist strap from rope and leather, a symbiosis between sailing and photography. Only the finest materials are processed by hand, with the idea of sustainability also having a significant influence on the rope wrist strap. An example of this is the vegetable-tanned leather, originally made from the offcuts of Italian premium handbags. The camera wrist strap rope itself consists of so-called polyester silk, a yarn made from very fine polyester threads, intricately braided into a rope. The polyester silk rope can easily compete with its natural counterpart in terms of suppleness and elegant shine, and even surpass it in functionality. Although it offers a similarly high wearing comfort as silk, it is additionally tear-resistant, quick-drying, lightfast, and shape-retaining. Finally, it is securely connected with robust saddler’s thread to the Italian leather and equipped with a hardened, corrosion-resistant split ring, making each rope and leather wrist strap a unique piece.
