Distinctive design crafted with artisanal perfection from high-quality materials—that is the standard set by the small Cypriot leather manufacturer Rock n Roll Camera Straps and Bags, led by the Greek director and professional photographer Evris Papanikolas, for its camera strap. With 35 years of professional experience with DSLR and Leica systems and the desire to find a leather camera strap that complements a high-quality Leica premium camera, he founded his small but exquisite leather workshop, specializing in unique camera straps of the highest quality, handcrafted by professional leatherworkers and belt makers with great attention to detail.
The small leather camera strap, sibling to the larger Rock n Roll, is about 5mm narrower, visually perfect for slim system and compact cameras. 70 individual leather elements made from the finest Greek and Italian full grain leather are connected into a "chain" in this longer camera strap version through a process lasting over an hour, hand-stitched with durable and waxed saddler’s thread, and fitted with two rustproof split rings. This creates a very durable yet extremely flexible and comfortable leather camera strap. But the strap’s construction is not only design-driven; it offers a practical side effect. The individual leather elements absorb sudden shocks or weight loads, similar to a "shock absorber," making even heavier camera and lens combinations more comfortable to carry.
