The small Cypriot leather manufacturer Rock n Roll Camera Straps and Bags, led by the Greek director and professional photographer Evris Papanikolas, specializes in unique camera straps made from the highest quality black leather, handcrafted by professional leatherworkers and belt makers with great attention to detail.
The camera shoulder strap for Leica SL model Hendrix comes with a clear, angular design language, visually perfectly matching Leica cameras. Elements cut by artisans from the finest Italian full grain leather are connected into a "chain" in this longer version through a process lasting over an hour and hand-stitched with durable, waxed saddle thread. This creates a very durable, yet extremely flexible and comfortable camera strap made of black leather. However, the construction of the camera shoulder strap for Leica SL is not only design-driven; it offers a very useful side effect. The individual leather elements ensure that the black leather camera strap absorbs sudden shocks or weight loads, similar to a shock absorber, making even heavier camera and lens combinations more comfortable to carry. Two X-shaped central pieces additionally stabilize the camera shoulder strap for Leica SL.
