The small Cypriot leather manufacturer Rock n Roll Camera Straps and Bags, led by the Greek director and professional photographer Evris Papanikolas, specializes in unique leather camera straps for Leica SL2 of the highest quality, handmade by professional bag makers and belt makers with great attention to detail.
The designer camera strap model Hendrix comes with a clear, angular design, visually perfectly matching Leica cameras. 52 elements, hand-cut by artisans from the finest Italian full grain leather, are connected into a "chain" in this shorter version through a process lasting over an hour and hand-stitched with durable, waxed saddle thread. This creates a very durable, yet extremely flexible and comfortable leather camera strap for Leica SL2. However, the structure of the designer camera strap is not only visually distinctive; it also offers a very useful side effect. The individual leather elements absorb sudden shocks or weight loads, similar to a shock absorber, making even heavier camera lens combinations more comfortable to carry. Two X-shaped central pieces additionally stabilize the leather camera strap for Leica SL2.
Note: This camera strap was specifically made for the wider flat lugs of the Leica SL2, SL, and S to prevent the strap connection from sliding back and forth. Please keep this in mind if you want to attach the designer camera strap to another camera.
